SERVICES
Reuse, Refurb, Recycle
Packaging built to last and designed to return
Sustainability is at the core of how we engineer every product we make. From heavy-gauge steel and aluminum to wood, plastic and corrugated cardboard, our packaging is built to withstand repeated rough handling and heavy loads over and over, before being refurbished or recycled to carry on indefinitely.

End to end Responsibility
Every piece of packaging we produce is tracked through a disciplined lifecycle management process — from initial manufacture through each subsequent refurbishment and return to service. That which cannot be reused is recycled responsibly.
Reuse
High-quality returnable metal, wood and plastic packaging is our core business. Our customers save money and avoid headaches associated with repeat orders by utilizing racks, crates and pallets that are built to be used over and over. They trust our products to withstand repeated use and deliver consistent, predictable performance along every step of their journey.
Refurbish
Even after long periods of use, our products can be restored to like-new condition after comprehensive inspection, cleaning and replacement of worn or outdated components. This process extends product life and minimizes downtime without the total cost of new equipment purchase. Occasionally refurbishment will require welding, straightening or repainting, all of which is handled by our professional team.
Recycle
What cannot be refurbished or reused whole is broken down to be born again as new packaging. In doing so, all of our solutions move from cradle to grave to cradle once more. Components that cannot be recycled in-house are sent to industrial recycling plants where metal, plastic, wood and cardboard is either melted down or broken up to be reconstituted as fresh product.

Our Orleans, Indiana facility is the operational heart of Basin Industries’ sustainability mission — a purpose-built refurbishment and recycling hub serving as the benchmark for what responsible industrial packaging management looks like at scale.
The Orleans location handles the full scope of our closed-loop services: incoming inspection and sorting, structural repair and reconditioning of steel and aluminum containers, replanting and refinishing of wood packaging, cleaning and retooling of plastic components, and responsible material recycling for packaging that has reached the end of its serviceable life.
With deep expertise across all five of the material categories we work with, the Orleans team is equipped to handle virtually any packaging form factor our partners deploy — from automotive racks and bulk containers to precision dunnage and expendable protective packaging.
